NokyArt is basically a web online artist gallery, but, NokyArt is particular in the fact that it takes into account the increasingly
SmartPhone market, and allow registered artists, a maximum visibility on those smartphone.

Thanks to it, you keep your pubic informed with your news. The way operate is very easy: on the
"My Information" section (available after login) a new form is present where you can enter your news (a forthcoming exhibition, for example).
Of course, you access the entire course of your previous news, and you can check the rendering by clicking the icon
available on the
preview
NokyART News system, ... Yes but I still use an RSS feed on my own website
Perfect. With NokyART you can display on handset, the informations (news feed) that are present in your feed.
Simply enter the URL of your RSS feed in the "My Information" section of the website (available after login), and all of your feed
is readable by the handset user with a simple click on the icon

This way, you manage your news feed in a single place, the way you did before NokyART. And, each news you add in your RSS feed will
be displayed on the NokyART application (for handset user) with no additionnal action from your part!

You would like to propose an equivalent news system in your own website !
And you are absolutly right, RSS can keep informed anyone who has "subscribed" to your feed for new information.
It is therefore an important asset for a web site to propose an RSS FEED system. This mechanism is unfortunately
very little spread among artists websites.
With this NokyART new feature, it will be easy for you to fit your own website with an RSS feed containing all your news.
Indeed, NokyART convertsin real time all your news (entered in NokyART) in an RSS feed directly usable from your website..
Once more, it's easy :
- Jump to the "My information" section of the website (after log in), you will find there the address (URL) of your RSS feed. Keep it in mind.
- In your wensite HTML code, in the head section (<head></head>) add the following line:
<link rel="alternate" href="http://..." type="application/rss+xml" title="My news" />
where http://... is the address you noticed in the upper step.
Therefore, all news that you have entered in nokyART news system, will be available to any subscribers of your own brand new rss feed.

Beyond the benefits listed above, all the news of the artists are "concatenated" into a global news feed. And, this global news
feed is present on the nokyART application main page (icon :

I don't want my Artwork to be available in HD over the internet
with NokyArt, it will never be the case. When you upload your artwork, your pictures are atomaticaly resized into a
smartphone screen size, adapted resolution (300 pixels wide). Only this resized version of your picture is kept in the system.
How do you measure my profile? am I informed?
Whenever your gallery is seen, anywhere on the planet, this information is recorded in your profile NokyArt.
So, you know, as and when measuring, the number of visits your NokyArt gallery received.
Free for smartphone users, what's the registration price for artists
NokyArt will provide unprecedented visibility to artists, as such, it is fair if they reward this visibility.
The price for a "one year registration" to NokyART is 20€ per year (less than 2€ per month).
It includes :
Access to the private part of your account, in order to manage your personal informations (bio, photo, Website URL, etc...)
Access to your gallery to suppress or to add photos of your artworks (less than 25 artworks). Your gallery is automatically available
on smartphone via the NokyART app.)
Access to a preview of your gallery the way it will be displayed on the end user's smartphone.
And of course, your art gallery is available for all smartphone users fitted with the NokyART application.

Is there any kind of selection before becoming a NokyArt member ?
The requested level is "professionnal level". In addition, your registration will be validated only in the case you upload at least 6
artworks to the NokyArt website.
Once these conditions are met, your work will be visible to handset users and you will be listed in the
Artists
section of the NokyArt website.

What does this application look like?
This application is a
widget with a
homescreen where artwork pictures scroll. check what it actually looks like
there.
How to choose among hundreds of artists listed on NokyArt?
It can be rewarding to be surprised by an artist you do not know. However, you can
have your own preferences and choose a "list of favorite artists". These "prefered artists" will be the only ones scrolling
on your "homescreen". This configuration is done directly by setting the NokyArt App.

Today, you can establish contact with an artist by two distinct ways :
- by visiting the official website of the artist (direct link on the NokyART application)
- by giving a comment about an artwork while browsing a gallery, the comment you give (including, if you want to, your mail address)
is sent directly to the artist
Can you comment on the works of artists?
Yes it is possible and easy, your comments are private (between you and the artist) and are sent directly to the artist.
Eventually, I am interested, how?
Very simple,
- You download the application
- if you download directly from your handset, direct install will be proposed to you, just answer "Yes".
- from a PC, copy the file "NokyartN97.wgz" (or "Nokyart.apk") in the "download" folder of your handset, open "file explorer",
find the "download" folder and click on the file "NokyartN97.wgz" (or "NokyART.apk"), this will launch installation.
- You launch the app. by clicking the icon NokyArtN97 or NokyART(see the screenshot on the right side)
- to set the widget homescreen (Nokia Only)
- from the smartphone homescreen :<options><change content>
- tap a blank area of the screen
- <Add content>
- browse the list and chooseNokyartN97
- answer "yes" to the question "Allow application to access phone data?"
